Wallpost – New Social Networking Site

One more social network added the list the Wallpost and this time its the Indians. Yes, this social network is created by two Hyderabadis. As usual when I was browsing through the About Us page of the site, I could not find any thing mentioned about the founders and all,what it tell is the same old story about the sharing you thoughts, chatting with loved once, video chatting and conferencing and blah blah blah…

Then I went through the site map of the site map there also the same old story about registration, login, logout, my wall and etc etc… And finally registered in the site hoping that it wont disappoint me any more but sorry to say but except the layout and few options I could barely fin anything new.

While in this process I cloud find one thing the one thing that the founders have kept in mind as far as I think was that the photo sharing, while I was exploring the site I could find many places where they where stretching on the point of photos sharing and linking. There are a few points that I could find a bi unique about the site (In my point of view):

1. The photo sharing and video chatting option :

Upload your photos to albums and share them with your friends through My Albums option (is there any thing called “Your Albums” in my profile???). You can watch a slideshow with your family, laugh, cry, make remarks and cherish those moments for life. You can also chat with your near and dear for long hours. You can put your album open to the whole world can even block it from specific person, some kind of security measure.

2. Who visits you or Statistics :

This is one thing that I miss alot on Facebook but which was there in Orkut was that you can track who visited you, is again enabled here but with better capabilities like in here, you can check how many people visited you account, a specific photo or a specific album i.e., we have three options and one more thing is we can find the day wise statistics. Means you can find out which one is your most viewed photo.

3. Writing Articles :

This one I find out interesting especially for the people like us who spend writing everyday about one thing or the other. With this feature we can write the articles and save them and share with the whole world, u need not approach to any blog site for writing contents (:P), you can directly save the article and share the link with any one whom you want, the person may or may not be there on that social network. This thing I am surely looking forward to.

4. Create Social Ads :

Now a days social media has become a major way for advertising about your products, and few social networks do provide this kind of facilities but I found it much simpler in this site, you just need to do few clicks and your add is ready to be posted.You can create as many ads you want  for free.

On the whole this new thing has few features which are worth giving some time. Through Wallpost the developers have tried to bring micro blogging, social media, networking to the same platform and not to forgot they have also tried to make the relations more closer.

You would not require any invitations to login to this site like in few other site. You directly register or login with Facebook, Twitter and Youtube.
