Macworld 2012: iPro Lens System Turns iPhone Into a Pro-Grade Camera

At this year’s Macworld event, Schneider Optics showed off their camera lens package, the iPro Lens System. The package includes a clever protective cover, fisheye and wide-angle lenses, and a case that doubles as a tripod mount or a convenient handle.

The upcoming gadget of Apple – Boasting a 5-megapixel camera with a digital zoom, a LED flash, and the capacity to create HD video at 30-fps, the new Apple iPhone 4  replacing most digital cameras out there, and working is progress on paper. Still, gadget fans and photography fanatics want more. This may be the solution, a DIY kit that surfaced on several online gadget sites recently, a DSLR Len Adapter for a whole range of DSLR (and traditional SLR) lens. No words on availability just yet, but considering the interest it already received, its a sure thing more information is to come in the nearest future.

iPro Lens System is a light weight case, that you can attach different lenses to. It will turn your iPhone videos and photos into professional quality, and expand what you can do with your iPhone!

The lens case acts as a tripod adapter or can be used as a handle which also twists onto the iPhone’s cover. The entire three-piece system costs $199 and is compatible with the iPhone 4 and 4S. It is available today at the company’s website. The iPro Tele Lens will be available in April. It can be purchased with the iPro Lens System or it can be bought separately for approximately $100.

Check out the video of the AppAdvice team getting a first-hand look at the iPro system:

With the 2X Tele, users can zoom in to get a closer look at a subject without slashing the resolution through digital zoom. We found the image quality to be impressive for a smartphone camera, and particularly great for portraits.

Do share this with your friends, now you can have a DSLR camera in your iPhones.
