How to Hide Folders In Nokia Phones Without Using Any Application

Now a days mobile phone is not just a phone which was used basically for making or receiving a call and sending messages on a go. The meaning has changed over the time and from just a medium of communication it has became device for entertainment.

People like to store their data like the office files, pictures, songs and even movies since memory storage capacity has increased to a huge extent. And most of the information in the phone memory is personal and very few like to share those file and to hide them, people use different kinds of hiding application which eat up the phones memory and make the phone’s functioning slow.

So, here are the few easy steps which could solve your problem and could allow you to secure your data on chip by hiding without using any application or external source.

To Hide

Step 1:

First of all you need to make a new folder with the same name that you want to hide. For example you want to hide a folder with the name “personal“, so make another folder with the same name.

Step 2:

Now you will be prompted that the folder with same name exists so change the extension file name of the new folder to .jar. So the new folder is personal.jar.

Step 3:

Now rename the original folder i.e., personal (as in this case) to personal.jad. And press ok. Now when you search in that directory you will find that your personal.jad folder is missing (hidden). Instead personal.jar will be visible whose size is 0(zero) kb with nothing in it.

So successfully hided the data that you wanted. Now I will tell you how to retrieve the data that you just hided. Again follow 2 simple steps given below.

To Unhide

Step 1:

Select the folder with the extension .jar i.e., personal.jar as in this case and select the rename folder option and rename the file to anything other than personal.jar, like personal.ja or persona.ja for example. And press ok.

Step 2:

Now go to the directory and you will find your .jad folder i.e., personal.jad as in our case with all your content and another folder that you have just renamed. Now if you want to hide the folder again than again restore the folder name personal.jar, simple is’nt it.

So, these are few simple steps with which you can secure you data just try it out yourself.
