3 Applications to Help You Overcome Broadband Internet Censorship

The government has always wanted to know and control what its people do and it will always want to for a very long time by internet censorship. It would be better if only the government wants to, but what is more surprising today is the amount of organizations and corporations that wants to track their users and know about each and every of their online activity. As an active internet user who really cares about her privacy what can you do in a situation like this? How do you ensure you’re not being tracked by the government or the organization you’re working for?

Unfortunately, while taking measures to protect your computer might be effective to an extent, what if the problem is directly from your ISP? I mean, what if your ISP is logging your details and will readily provide it to the government? The good news is there are software applications you can install on your computer to help you route your internet browsing through another anonymous IP that the government or even your ISP doesn’t know about. This article will be listing 3 of such software and why you might want to check them out.

1. Ultrasurf:

This is my number one privacy software for several reasons. One, it protects your internet usage and mask your ISP by assigning you a United States IP that your ISP doesn’t know about, and two, it is completely flexible and easy to use.

You don’t need to install Ultrasurf on your computer. You only need to copy the .exe file to the directory where you want to use it, run it and start browsing anonymously. Ultrasurf is very fast and super responsive; it connects to the client server immediately and opens an Internet Explorer tab that you can start using immediately. Ultrasurf is also portable software that can be used on portable devices; in other words, you can have anonymous internet at your finger tips anywhere you are. Just copy the Ultrasurf software to your flash drive and run it irrespective of the computer you’re using it.

2. Your Freedom Software:

The Your Freedom software is a more sophisticated, but premium, software that helps ensure anonymity and secure connection to the internet. The Your Freedom software can be used on any Windows and Mac software and you will also be able to connect to over 30 different servers in various countries including the US, the UK, Germany, Hong Kong, France and a few other countries. You will be assigned a basic package of 64kbps as a free user but you can upgrade to get faster and more reliable packages.

3. Tor:

The final software on this list is the Tor software. It is also an anonymity software application that works like the two above but it works in a more complicated way. Tor relies on connection from various other internet users all over the world who have decided to let others connect through their own network and it has an option to automatically change IP every once in a while. Tor is really complicated and anonymous if you want to leave no traces of your activities online.

Internet Censorship is a start to kill our freedom but hope the 3 applications above will help you to overcome this.
